Welcome to Twitter Attraction! So what is the Twitter attraction that seems to be happening at amazing speeds? According to the State of Twitter Report, Twitter an estimated 5-10 thousand new Twitter accounts are opened every day. Twitter currently has about 4-5 million users with 70% of the accounts opened in 2008.
This morning I did a search using Social Mention on Twitter. In just the last 12 hours Twitter was mentioned 89 times:
20 – wikio.com
20 – technorati.com
20- topix.com
14 – yahoo.com
10 – wordpress.com
5 - blogsearch.google.com
This seems like a huge amount of attention for Twitter which is relatively new at this point. I know for me Twitter has been a huge asset. Having a group of followers that I can engage, ask questions and get answers has proved to be huge advantage in my business.
So my question to you is what is your Twitter attraction? How are you using Twitter? Why do you think Twitter is growing so fast?

First I am honored to be the first to comment on this exciting new blog. I am looking forward to the coming content around all things Twitter! Some of the attractions I have to twitter are:
1. Access to a large audience of like-minded people who are on the cutting edge of communication/business/technology
2. it provides a powerful platform to get your message out your message out in a very efficient way.
3. It is an effective vehicle for people to help others by sharing (retweeting) key information they have found valuable/useful.
4. It is provides a great way to survey a targeted audience to access helpful feedback.
And I could probably list another 20 or so helpful/engaging/entertaining/powerful uses for twitter.

See ya on twitter!
