Twitter: Waste of Time or Brilliant for Business?

by Alan Underkofler on March 20, 2009

Almost every day someone asks me if I think Social Media can help their business.  Just yesterday I was talking with a few members from a local chamber of commerce about social media.  One of the members stated “social media is not important to our members as they will not receive any benefit”.  Of course I was a bit surprised by this comment to say the least.  Using social media tools in your business like Twitter can make a huge difference.  I have many great stories of small businesses using Twitter to grow their business.  I have to say this again to insure you hear it…

@Copyblogger (Brian Clark) is one of my favorite Twitter friends.

I first met Brian last fall in Las Vegas.  The story of how we met is great in itself as I thought he was just another crazy  guy in a bar.  Little did I know he would inspire me daily from the blogosphere.  I love Brian’s dry sense of humor, his sincerity and his authenticity.  But most of all I love the terrific content at www.copyblogger.com.  This blog has won numerous awards including the best blog for writer’s 3 years in a row.
